Reacting to the IPL bidding, Australian captain Ricky Ponting admitted that he was completely dumbfounded about the whole thing. He said the price that they commanded was completely out of their control, so there was no question of any jealousy among the Aussie players.

| are you kidding me? He won the world cup twice as captain of Australia. He's tied for 3rd on the ALL Time ICC Batting ranks, Tendulkar is 25th. Tendulkar's highest rating EVER was 898, Ponting's highest ever was 942 in tests. ODI's Tendulkar beats him by only 7 points coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. And you talk about him that should be like Tendulkar, shame, wake up dude. |

| Tendulkar well he is a great player but....one out of a billion ain't bad I suppose....Ponting has consistently been the worlds best for years, remaining as captain of his country never taking a backward step, winning world cups, keeping Australia at the top and teaching the rest of the world how to play cricket hard and ruthless, only the strong survive.
