Sorry to burst the bubble but the audience was intentionally mislead about "untrained" vav Josh and Twitch. Josh got training each summer since 8 years old with Debbie Allen in Texas; he admitted AFTER his win. If you want I can send you the URL to the newspaper interview.
Twitch graduated from the same dance program at Chapman U that Katee still attends.
Both guys are talented but not as talented as 'untrained' implies. I think voters chose Josh over Katee because they were tricked.

But if you had learned that Katee or the judges had said she was "untrained" and she had the training she's had and she won... would you feel as comfortable with that result as you do with this one? If so, why? If not, why not?

Oh 'the journeys' in life and how they are acheived or lost and not just the destinations need to be given value.
Yes, I know Katee will have "a brilliant career" as Mia predicted when she told Katee "I think you are meant to dance. I think you are a gift to dance.... I love you very much." And the other elite choreographers and producers of dance most likely agree with that evaluation. Still, to loose on
an uneven playing ground is a dilemma I wish young women didnt' face anymore.

actually katee was called back for FOUR judges picks that night: the bollywood with josh, the pas de deux with will, the contemporary with Twitch, and no air with joshua. I know, teenage hormones do get on my nerves, I wanted Mark to be there!!!!( in the top 4)

K-did, at first I thought you were mistaken, but now see you're spreading a lie in Josh & Katee's vids. You say that he "admits" to this AFTER his win, but the article you are talking about was published June 10, THE FIRST WEEK of the show.You know this because the date is posted at the top. NO most voters chose Josh because they liked watching him dance. I will bet the majority of voters were female, a lot with crushes on him. Bottom line the winner is chosen by who the voters like. If it was truly based on talent alone there would be no viewer voting and even then there would be some favoritism involved among the judges. As people have their own taste in styles there will never be 100% agreement on who should have won. Trained or untrained doesn't matter. ;)

Untrained doesn't make Joshua or Twitch MORE IMPRESSIVE/DESERVING EITHER especially when that claim is not true. The slant/impact of 'untrained' on voters was to make untrained dancing seem more deserving than trained dancing. This is simply silly but mindless voters bought into it. I really wish viewers were more careful in appreciating the skills of dancers and less easily manipulated by 'spin' and personality issues.

I agree with you, but I feel like the whole time Katee and Josh were the most talented COUPLE. But then again, they didn't get too difficult choreography, and they had fabulous chemistry. I agree, I wish people were judged by the quality of their dancing abilities, and not by other things, such as "trained" vs. "untrained" or who had the better song.
